About the FHS Library

The FHS Library Mission

To support students in becoming independent and effective users of information, to support teachers and curriculum through collaboration, and to nurture a lifelong love of reading and learning.

Resources

The FHS Library brings together an abundance of resources for the entire FHS community to enjoy. We’re always working to meet the needs of our patrons and remain committed to playing a key role in the community as the information hub of FHS. With our growing collection of digital media, we’re helping to engage with a new generation of learners and establishing the foundations to bring people, ideas, and information together into the future.

  • The library has over 24,000 print books, eBooks, audiobooks, videos, and DVDs.

  • The library offers a variety of electronic databases for student research.

  • Library Chromebooks are available, and Chromebook chargers can be checked out for in-library use.

  • Students and staff have access to free printing, as the library has three black and white printers/copiers.

  • Textbooks from all departments are available for use in the library.

  • Three study rooms--two of which are green screen rooms with accompanying filming equipment, and one of which is a podcasting room with accompanying audio recording equipment--can be reserved by request to the library staff.

  • Various supplies are available for in-library use, and pens and pencils are for sale in the library.
